Before today’s bolg, I need to ask a question: what is your image of ai edcation? If you can post a image that create by ai when you reply.

This is a image created by chatgpt with Keywords “ai in education”. However, this is not my imagnation. Here is mine:

My instructions are “ai helps teachers to correct assignments and provide student level assessment reports, as well as posting assignments at regular intervals, while students get initial feedback on their learning through ai to update their drafts”.

Predictive Technologies and AI in Education

I’ve used the ai tools quillbot and grammarly to help me fix grammatical issues in my articles. These tools ensure that I get timely feedback on my paper before deadline. I have also used an audio-to-text ai tool to assist me in completing assignments and reading key passages from videos over and over again. I’ve also heard that Quizizz offers ai assessments to capture instant data to identify skill gaps and provide personalized practice suggestions.

I think currently ai is able to give a lot of convenience to learning in specific skills, such as providing assessment in a certain area or specific functions, however it is difficult to have enough checking power to personalize learning.

Benefits and Chellenges

Ai providing individualized tasks is the most effective method of ai education I can think of, however Chiu et al. (2023) state that “a lack of appropriate learning resources presenting the biggest challenge”.Thinking about the OER we’ve learned about in the past, it’s not hard to imagine the value of this level of educational resources. Such an educational resource needs to be customized with an ai that is well versed in almost all mainstream domains and pedagogical methods as well as being able to correctly assess the state of the student, and the more difficult the education, the more it needs to be.

On the other hand, I think teachers will also need a suitable ai assistant to help manage students and provide timely assessment. lijia Chen et al.’s article also recognizes the role of ai in “administrative and management functions in education. Lijia Chen et al.(2020) also agree that ai can enhance the efficiency of teachers in “administrative and management functions in education”. However, this also presents a challenge: ai feedback is often based on program logic, which is not personalized enough to meet the needs of teachers and students.
